Stand with the sacred waters.
Spirious's ongoing project is to buy back Mount Zaku Tenari from the four Indigenous tribes living in Colombia's Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. The Sierra Nevada is also called the Heart of the Earth, you can feel its heartbeat when you are quiet and listen to the nature around you. Everything is buzzing with energy and life.
The first territory was crowdfunded within three weeks in January 2021. This territory is 7 hectares of land, containing 63 freshwater springs and a large sacred stone that represents the feminine balance, the equilibrium. This piece of land with the 63 freshwater sources feeds the rest of the mountain and thus the Earth with Water.
The second territory that we will GROUNDfund with you is Mount Zaku Tenari, which measures 100 hectares and has a value of 395,000 euros. This mountain covers an area of 100 hectares, of which 20 hectares are freshwater springs that flow further inland to supply the entire valley with life. Unfortunately, there is an advanced plan to mine gold from the mountain, farmers are being bought out with large amounts for their land, multinationals from Japan pay the mining companies in Colombia to get the gold out of the ground. They really don't care that the whole mountain will die, the waters inland will never flow again, the inhabitants will no longer be able to eat from their vegetable gardens and nature will be completely destroyed if these plans go ahead. And all this for gold, a raw material that belongs in the earth for an earth in balance.
An early consultation with the Indigenous peoples and UNESCO is underway, to see if this territory can be protected, a decision will follow in July. We hope that before then we have crowdfunded the entire amount to be able to buy back the mountain earlier and avert this catastrophic scenario. We hereby appeal to your HEART to buy back these 100 hectares with the many water sources together, for the good of all, for an Earth in balance.

Spirious works in close consultation and directly with the Gunnekun foundation in Colombia. Gunnekun is a foundation established by the Native Americans themselves in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta to protect their territories and thus their heritage. They take care of the flora and fauna, but also their villages, the local economy, the children and education. When they are in balance with the Earth there, this energy will also work through to the rest of the Earth through their spiritual work that they do daily for the entire Earth. It is a foundation that stands for the realization of unity of the different ways of thinking about the world.
